WHAT DOES THE COURSE LOOK LIKE
Confidence Brewed is a six-week, face-to-face course that begins with participants unboxing and setting up their own laptop. Throughout the programme, they build digital skills, confidence and practical experience in a supportive learning environment.

On successful completion of the course, participants keep their laptop and receive a further 12 weeks of tailored mentoring and support, helping them take positive next steps towards employment, education or further training.
OUTCOMES
By the end of the programme, participants develop essential digital and computer skills including online safety, email communication, document creation and practical job search and application techniques. This structured digital skills training programme improves digital confidence and supports adults to access online services, education pathways and employment opportunities independently.

Beyond technical learning, the programme delivers measurable social value outcomes including increased confidence, improved digital independence, enhanced work readiness and stronger community engagement. Participants gain transferable life skills that support progression into employment, further education and workforce development, helping to reduce digital exclusion and barriers faced by economically inactive individuals.

These outcomes contribute to improved employability, increased participation in adult learning and greater social and economic mobility across communities in Macclesfield and Cheshire East, supporting inclusive growth and enabling individuals to participate fully in today’s digital society.
